Human or AI (Global Game Jam 2026)

Human or AI? is a border-control simulation set in a world where robots are forbidden. Let humans pass, stop robots trying to blend in, and use tools such as offering a glass of water or asking carefully chosen questions before their disguises become convincing.

Built entirely through AI-assisted vibecoding, the game was made in under 48 hours for Global Game Jam 2026. Every system, line of code, and mechanic was developed with custom AI-driven tools and workflows under human direction.

The game uses LÖVE (Love2D) as its core framework, with OpenCode and multiple large language models supporting planning, architecture, and implementation. On top of LÖVE, it runs on ChainsawFramework, a custom architecture for rapid iteration and experimentation, while the interface was built with ChainsawLoveUIEditor, an in-house visual UI editor.

Developed by Chainsaw Team, an international group of game developers and AI researchers, Human or AI? explores what happens when human intent and machine creativity blur at the border.
